I remember nine months back expressing my dismay over the Lok Sabha results in the east Delhi constituency where Atishi Marlena lost to a once upon cricketer. I did not understand how people could vote for what seemed like ‘glamorous weight’ over a seasoned policy maker with evident results. Cut to 11 February 2020, I am so very elated to see that Atishi has won in a new constituency and that too with a tough fight.
My faith in this country’s people has been restored. I feel like this victory is a personal win in the midst of a grey time for me. This gives me hope that the politics of development can trump over politics of ideology .
West Bengal, here is looking at you:)
Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Indeed it is a victory of development over ideology. I also look up to Atishi. She is a very humble lady who has devoted her life for the people in need. I have watched few of her interviews, leaving me wanting to be like her every single time- well educated, humble and very grounded.
Anyway I want to smoke for that. Smoke of victory! 😂 P.S. I think we should have few people, in a list, we look up to and try to inculcate at least a character or principle from them.

Amen! I totally agree with you. We can be the people we admire and much more. Let’s discuss this over the next time we talk. Please do take a drag of victory from my side too. Puff puff.
